Payment Options

We understand that dental treatment is a significant investment. This page provides general information about ways patients may choose to fund their treatment. Information on this website is general in nature only and does not constitute financial, taxation or legal advice.

Payment Plans

Many Australian dental practices offer flexible payment plans to help patients spread the cost of treatment over time. Depending on the clinic, options may include providers such as Zip or the National Dental Plan powered by humm, allowing eligible patients to pay for treatment in manageable instalments rather than paying the full amount upfront. Availability, eligibility criteria, fees and terms vary between providers and clinics.

Private Health Insurance

Depending on your level of cover, private health insurance may contribute towards certain dental procedures. Coverage varies significantly between insurers and policies. We recommend checking directly with your health fund to understand what your policy covers before commencing treatment.

Personal Savings

Many patients choose to fund their dental treatment through personal savings. Your treating clinic can provide a detailed treatment plan and cost estimate following your consultation, allowing you to plan accordingly.

Compassionate Release of Superannuation

Under the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) compassionate release provisions, eligible patients may be able to access superannuation to help fund certain dental treatments. Eligibility and approval are determined solely by the ATO. Approval is not guaranteed.

We provide general information about this option and may guide eligible patients through the application process. Assistance with an application does not imply eligibility and does not guarantee approval.

Not all patients will meet the ATO's compassionate release eligibility requirements. Patients may also wish to seek independent financial or taxation advice before applying.
